Minute 64

 Minute 64 (by Konstantine Brinkmann)

– Cultural dance and the Pyramids of Gizah

The second minute I was paired with gave me a harder time than the first. Undoubtedly, I didn’t take as much time to prepare for it as for my first minute, which was probably why I was under pressure to find an idea, that in the end turned out harder than I thought.
When another part of my minute had been played and presented earlier in the seminar, I had already disliked the content of my minute and was later disappointed to find out, that I was paired with part of that clip as well.
I have to say that my creativity was not on fire during my preparation process and that I was later inspired by a conspiracy theory on TikTok which made me chose the myth behind the Great Pyramids of Gizah.
As my minute consisted of a man in a traditional gown, spinning in circles, it made me think of the endless, ever-repeating process, later of the repeating process of civilization, having had to restart everything in the past and maybe having to rebuild everything in the future again. And as there are many questions surrounding the Great Pyramids, I let my small geeky side take over and collected all astonishing but also questionable facts about the Great Pyramids and prepared a presentation on them.
The presentation I had was definitely not as captivating and interesting as my first, but it was yet something I can see myself get into and enjoy. In the end, this is where the meaning of my second minute presentation came from – things humanity is yet to explain.
