Minute 35 (by Praneeth Rasiah)
I intended to create something that resembles an ending to a series or movie. The feeling that was supposed to be captured was nostalgia. The voice of a protagonist that has lived a long time and might even be tired of life is looking back at all of the things he has experienced. The sequence beginning when the voice fades into music is supposed to be a flashback of that persons life. The zoom in the end ought to symbolize the desire that person has to see his loved ones again. The title and words “I know it took me a while, but I am finally here” that are being said in the end are supposed to make the spectator wonder where that here is. Is it the end of a series, the end of a movie, the end of happiness, the end of the will to live or is it the end of life – the hereafter?
