In the original film minute, you can see a fighter, however you cannot see what he is fighting against. In the second half, you can see a mine, which, to me, can represent the exploitation of resources. I connected these aspects with the topic of fighting for our environment. The statement in the beginning of the video is translated from a German article, in which environmental issues are called ”Bürgersache“. While I agree, that we all play a role in this and that it is important to continue to take action, I think that environmental issues should primarily be the responsibility of governments, investors, and companies. Additionally, I tried to incorporate the destruction of the film rolls into my project. The director of Decasia works with the broken film rolls and creates something new — our generation tries to create a liveable future on our planet.
