For minute 6, I decided to take a step back and turn the video into a painting. I tried to present the decay of the video, which happened under bad storing conditions. The left side of the painting is supposed to be the original side, which is bright and beautiful. The right side of the painting represents the decay which can also be seen in the video.

Further, I transferred the visual aspects to human behaviour; I feel as if people fear the un-known and grotesque. Therefore, the original minute might cause the feeling of fear or confu-sion. People might overlook that the original minute is actually a video of something very calm and beautiful which turned into something “different” over time. Therefore, I tried to represent both sides in my painting: the bright and beautiful one and the dark and grotesque one.
